Nottingham Green Guardians is recruiting new volunteers to support our Greenspace and Natural Environment team to improve parks, wildlife sites and nature reserves around Nottingham City district.

Green Guardians volunteer around all of the City's Parks and Open Spaces, performing a wide range of tasks. These aim to improve habitats, restore gardens, protect nature and so much more to encourage positive change in the community.

Applicants do not need experience working in conservation or gardens, just a positive attitude towards working outdoors. Our friendly rangers will help guide you, as well as our amazing experienced volunteers.

As a volunteer driver, you’ll be an essential part of the hospice team, responsible for collecting patients from their homes (in and around Nottinghamshire) and taking them to the Wellbeing Service located at Nottinghamshire Hospice on Woodborough Road. You will be required to see them safely into the hospice and collect them after their session, to take them back home.

Help to empower refugees and asylum seekers to integrate into their communities and rebuild their lives with dignity. Befriending is 1:1 support where our volunteers work directly with a refugee or asylum seeker. The support varies to meet the needs of the individual but focuses on empowerment through language ability and well-being.

The opportunity is flexible and allows even those with irregular schedules to volunteer.
