Some funded support (free at the point of delivery) for Nottingham city voluntary and community groups is available in the city’s seven areas via Area Based Grant Lead organisations and Communities of Identity partnerships. The support you may be able to access from NCVS will vary depending upon what’s available in your area or whether your group is predominantly working with refugees and asylum seekers, or women and LGBTQ+ communities.

Group Support Sessions
We are able to offer a number of funded Group Support sessions for community groups, charities or social enterprises in various locations across Nottingham city. You can get help with wider group support issues at these sessions, as well as funding support.
Our current support sessions are for groups in the following locations:
- Aspley, Bilborough and Leen Valley
- Bestwood, Bulwell and Bulwell Forest
- Nottingham & Notts Refugee Forum for groups working with refugees and asylum seekers
To enquire about a session, please email ncvs@nottinghamcvs.co.uk. Please note sessions will primarily be held remotely via Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Skype or phone.
If you require support outside of these areas, please contact us to discuss how we might be able to help or see the list of other city-based support organisations below.
Support in other areas of the City
The following is a guide to where you should go if your group needs support, reflecting the ward boundary changes from May 2019. It's a good idea to check which ward your group is in. This then tells you which of the Areas to approach. If you don’t know, try googling your post code followed by the word 'ward'. There is also a postcode search tool on the Nottingham City Council website.
