The Charity Commission has issued a warning to charities that there are fraudsters targeting the sector. The regulator says it has received several recent reports from charities which have been targeted by fraudsters who are impersonating members of staff and are attempting to change employees' bank details. Congratulations to Nottingham's Keiren Thompson who received the Unsung Hero Award at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Awards on Sunday (15 December). Keiren runs the local community project Helping Kids Achieve in Bulwell, alongside a dedicated team. Daytrippers Foundation offers grants to SEND schools, units, children's hospices, charities and not-for-profit organisations based in the UK. Extra support measures for the homeless in cold weather have been implemented in Nottingham, to provide enough shelter for anyone sleeping on the street as the temperatures drop.
