This course will explore attitudes and beliefs to suicide, identifying and assessing risk, implementing a safe plan, and recognising effective models of intervention.
The course uses a variety of interactive tools to build delegates’ confidence and skills in responding to, and signposting, those at risk as well as their families, friends and professionals.
Level 2 (intermediate) training is suitable for frontline community staff whose role is involved in supporting people. These individuals may come into contact with those in distress or who have experience of mental health problems, but for whom is not their primary role e.g housing support, teaching staff, community support workers.
Once registered, you will receive an email of confirmation from Harmless. Access details for the online session will be sent a week before the training date.
Harmless will provide all delegates with frequent breaks during the session to ensure that screen fatigue is kept to a minimum.
