Part of the new Practice Development Unit (PDU) Workforce Development learning series. This session has a 'Service Spotlight' theme, raising awareness of local service provision in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire and the various support pathways that exist for people who experience severe and multiple disadvantage (SMD). The session will be facilitated by Eleanor Rawson, Anthony Bernard, and Lilian Nleya from Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
This webinar will give you a basic overview of what services sit under Secondary Adult Mental Health. With a greater focus on the Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) services, we will provide you with an overview of what is psychosis, the journey through EIP from referral through to treatment and discharge.
This will include:
- What is psychosis / drug induced psychosis
- How to support someone who is experiencing psychosis
- How to refer in and how referrals are processed
- What does an EIP service provide and offer
- Inclusion & exclusion criteria
- The different professionals that make up EIP services
- What interventions are offered.
