Purpose of Role:
The administration volunteer at Age UK Notts will be required to support staff working in the Social Prescribing Team which operates across specific areas of Nottinghamshire. It is a great volunteering opportunity in that administration assistance ensures the continued effectiveness and efficiency in the running of charity services.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
What is the purpose of this role?
The administration volunteer will be required to support staff working in the Social Prescribing Team which operates across specific areas of Nottinghamshire. (Hucknall, Daybrook/Arnold/Calverton & Netherfield/Carlton/Mapperley)
What impact does this role have?
Administration assistance to our teams across the Charity ensures the continued effective and efficient running of our services
What activities might you be involved in?
1. Making 3 monthly and 6 monthly follow-up telephone calls to the clients supported by the Social Prescribing Team
2. Recording key information onto the Charity’s electronic database system
3. Taking incoming telephone calls
4. Typing standard letters
5. Shredding confidential documents
6. Photocopying and printing leaflets, fact sheets, forms, and packs, as and when required
7. Helping with large mail outs and preparing for events
8. Filing documents using relevant systems
9. Any other tasks as and when required, as agreed between the Volunteer and Manager
10. Volunteering in line with the Charities policies and procedures and adhering to the Volunteer Code of Conduct

• Good standard of literacy, and accuracy for recording information
• An honest and reliable person with a friendly personality
• Ability to follow instructions
• An understanding of the importance of confidentiality
• IT & internet skills (training will be provided for our electronic database)
When would you be needed to volunteer?
A minimum of one day per week (or two half days per week) is required for this role which would initially be worked from home during normal office hours (Mon-Fri).
The specific day/s and times will be agreed with the successful candidate
