Purpose of Role:
To help the organisation’s online presence to grow and develop, with a view to ensuring the organisation’s services are well promoted, easy to sign up to and, to increase the chances of the Organisation receiving grants/funding. Focussing on producing content which showcases the work we do and promotes positive wellbeing, in line with the Organsiations ethos round cultural competency, faith sensitivity and supporting marginalised, socio-economically deprived and vulnerable communities including new and emerging communities, BAME, Refugees and Asylum seekers.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
To work to develop and post content for Vanclaron’s social media channels (currently Instagram, Twitter and Facebook) and/or web page in ways which:

 Enhance engagement
 Make Vanclaron’s services easy to find and access
 Showcase the work that we do
 Attract potential funders

You may choose to work on one social media channel exclusively, or on our web page or, you may feel confident to manage more than one of these. We welcome applications from people who wish to do either. We are also interested in finding people to engage with other social media users via our channels, to help promote engagement.

Typically, we will expect you to have time to meet your Organisation Supervisor for one hour online each week and to commit a further 2-7 hours per week to volunteering for this role (negotiable).
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
You don’t need to have any qualifications, but you will need to have the following skills:
 Reliable
 Self-motivated
 Attention to detail
 Discretion/confidentiality

Although not essential, we are hoping to find people who either have, or are willing to develop the following skills:
 Ability to identify reputable sources of online information
 Comfortable with apps/software such as Canva and Adobe suite
 Graphic design interest/skills/experience
 Experience of at least one social media platform
 Experience with website editing (via Wix)
 Sensitive to/awareness of current political/cultural/socioeconomic issues
