ROLE DESCRIPTION:
The Renewal Trust are a nationally-recognised community development charity working with children, young people, adults and communities in St Ann’s, Sneinton and Mapperley in the City of Nottingham. Our aim is to create positive social change, and we do this in part through Hungerhill Trading Ltd, which is our property trading subsidiary.
We own, let and manage a number of commercial properties across Nottingham: The Carlton Road, John Folman and Renewal Trust Business Centres, The Brendon Lawrence Sports Centre, and The Sycamore Millennium Centre and Cherry Lodge. These properties deliver community spaces for our activities and those of our partners, offer low-cost sports and holiday club provision, and provide affordable office space for local and national businesses, as well as house a high number of incredible charities and community organisations. All the activities undertaken by Hungerhill Trading help us to meet charitable aims of The Renewal Trust, and all profits made are reinvested back into our communities.
To help guide and drive our growth and to help us realise new opportunities we are seeking to recruit two new Directors to join our team. You will bring energy, experience and enthusiasm, and your contribution will help shape our future and enable the Renewal Trust to continue its work: to change lives in St Anns, Sneinton and Mapperley and the wider area.
Please note that this is a voluntary position, but expenses will be covered. You will be expected to attend four Board meetings per year, and you will offer us your commitment, focus and reliability.
For an informal chat about this role, please contact Jacquie Olpin, Property Manager, on 07795 310787 or via email at jacqueline@renewaltrust.org.uk
