Purpose of Role:
Looking for someone with knowledge/experience of Health & Safety principles and regulations to join our Board of Trustees!
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Looking for someone with knowledge/experience of Health & Safety principles and regulations to join our Board of Trustees in this specific role.
Main tasks/responsibilities include:
>> Responsibilities of a trustee of NNRF ( see https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/the-essential-trustee-what-you-need-to-know-cc3/the-essential-trustee-what-you-need-to-know-what-you-need-to-do )
>> Attend monthly Board meetings
>> Chair the monthly H&S subcommittee of the Board
>> Be trustee responsible for oversight of H&S issues
>> Work with staff to ensure NNRF provides a safe and healthy environment for staff, volunteers and service users
>> Quarterly premises inspection
NB: Suitable candidate will be co-opted onto Board of Trustees until AGM (November 2020), when they can put themselves forward for election onto the Board for a 3-year period.

>> Desirable: Basic awareness of the asylum/immigration process
