🏃 Volunteer Role: Robin Hood Half Marathon Support Crew
📍 Location: Nottingham
📅 Date: 28 September 2025
🕒 Time Commitment: Half-day or full-day shifts available
Join us for one of the UK’s most iconic running events!
The Robin Hood Half Marathon is a celebration of community, endurance, and Nottingham’s rich history. As a volunteer, you’ll be at the heart of the action—cheering on runners, supporting disabled participants, helping with logistics, and making sure everyone has an unforgettable experience.
🌟 Why It’s So Fun:
Electric atmosphere: Thousands of runners and spectators create a buzz that’s contagious!
Scenic route: The course winds through beautiful parks and historic landmarks which you will see as a marshal, or cheer zone supporter.
Feel-good impact: You’ll be supporting our organisation to cheer on runners of all abilities, helping make sport inclusive and empowering.
Team spirit: Work alongside friendly volunteers and staff who share your passion for sport and inclusion.
Free goodies: Volunteers will be given a Richard Whitehead Foundation t-shirt to wear on the day, refreshments, and heartfelt thanks from our team and participants.
🙌 What You’ll Do:
Marshalling, help guide runners and keep the course safe.
Cheer and motivate participants along the route and at our cheer zone stations.
Assist with water stations or finish line support.
Join the Richard Whitehead Foundation team in the event village and spread the word about what we do to support disabled people into sport.
Help us with our initiative to ensure accessibility and inclusion for disabled runners.
Whether you're a seasoned volunteer or trying it for the first time, this is a brilliant opportunity to be part of something special.
