Purpose of Role:
Join Runspire Nottingham as a Trustee and help shape the future of a vibrant community charity! Use your experience in strategy, marketing, or governance to support our growth, improve operations, and make a real impact on local wellbeing. This rewarding role involves quarterly in-person meetings and flexible involvement. If you’re passionate about community health and want to work closely with our CEO, Paul, this is the perfect opportunity to contribute your skills and drive positive change.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
As a Trustee with Runspire Nottingham, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the future of a fast-growing, community-focused charity that’s transforming lives through running, walking, and wellbeing activities.

We're looking for new Trustees to strengthen our leadership team in the areas of Strategy & Growth, Marketing & Communications, and Operations & Governance. You’ll work closely with Paul, our inspiring CEO and founder, and help guide the organisation’s direction as we expand across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.

This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to use your professional experience in the charity or business sector to make a real impact in local communities. Your input will help shape new projects, improve our systems, promote our work, and ensure we’re running safely, effectively, and sustainably.

You'll typically commit 4–8 hours per month, with board meetings held quarterly (four times a year) in person in Nottingham. Between meetings, you may support planning, review documents, offer advice, or attend occasional events and activities. You’ll be part of a friendly and supportive board team who care deeply about community wellbeing and inclusion.

Whether you're advising on marketing campaigns, supporting good governance, or helping plan our next step forward, your contribution will help us reach more people, inspire healthier lifestyles, and build a stronger, more connected Nottingham.

If you're someone who enjoys strategy, collaboration, and seeing real-life impact from your time and skills — this is the perfect opportunity to get involved in something meaningful.
