Purpose of Role:
Fancy doing something amazing with your spare time? Nottinghamshire Hospice, the lead end-of-life care provider across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, would love you to join our friendly and enthusiastic volunteer team to support our vital fundraising. We have a range of community-based tasks such as helping at hospice events, circulating donation tins, researching local businesses for raffle prizes… whatever suits your interest and skillset. This volunteer role is super flexible; if you have a few hours a week or just now and then, we’d love to have you onboard making a real difference. ROLE DESCRIPTION:
The Community Fundraising Volunteer role is incredibly flexible, allowing you to pick activities that appeal to you and at a time that suits. There are a variety of tasks to choose from such as:
• Researching community groups, schools, local businesses in your local area and identify possible fundraising opportunities
• Assisting with raffles and tombolas at events
• Collecting donations
• Contacting companies to source raffle prizes
• Collecting and dropping off raffle prizes, collection tins at local businesses and community groups
• Taking fundraising resources to supporters
As a Community Fundraising Volunteer, you'll play a vital part in supporting the work of Nottinghamshire Hospice. You'll volunteer alongside our experienced Fundraising Team. Every £1 collected in our tins, every raffle prize collected, every person you speak to about Nottinghamshire Hospice will help spread awareness of our services and help us provide end-of-life care for people living in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
We welcome applicants with varied skills and experience, however some of the following attributes would be useful. Training is also provided.
• Essential to have access to transport
• Desirable to be able to drive and have access to a car
• Be 18 years old or over
• A passion for supporting the work of Nottinghamshire Hospice and inspiring others to do the same
• Confidence in handling money
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
