Purpose of Role:
Do you have a skill, a passion or knowledge in the environmental sector? This role may be for you!

We are looking for experienced volunteers within the greenspace sector to lead walks, talks and workshops around the city of Nottingham. We love public engagement, and we know that the public do to, so we are looking to expand our offerings, but we need some help, here's how you can assist;

Run a workshop demonstrating and teaching a particular skill

Host guided walks at any of our 50+ nature spaces

Give a talk about a chosen area of expertise

Seasonal and species specific events
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Do you have some expertise in ecology or the environment? Maybe you have a park or nature reserve on your doorstep that you know like the back of your hand? Are you passionate about a particular animal group? Do you have a special skill you are desperate to share with like-minded people? Maybe you love the social history of public parks?

If you answered yes to any of those, then this may be the volunteer opportunity you've been seeking!

We are looking for experienced volunteers within the greenspace sector to lead walks, talks and workshops around the city of Nottingham. We love public engagement, and we understand the benefits are endless, but we need your help to expand our offerings. You will work with our engagement team to deliver educational sessions in Nottingham's Parks and Open Spaces. We'll cover the marketing and admin, you just deliver the event.

You could be doing any of the following:
-Host guided walks at any of Nottingham's Greenspaces
-Run species-focused events such as a bat or butterfly walk
-Give talks on your area of expertise, eg. Wildlife photography or an interesting place you worked
-Run workshops for a specialist skill
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Confident communicator
Have some expertise in a greenspace subject
Enthusiastic about sharing your skills and knowledge with the public
An advocate for Nottingham's Greenspace and Natural Environment
