Purpose of Role:
Help staff in the coffee bar in the village with making and serving snacks and refreshments, operating the till and keeping the area clean and tidy.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
To undertake tasks designated by the staff in charge of the coffee shop.
To provide excellent customer service
To make and serve refreshments and snacks
Clearing tables
Washing up
Keeping the kitchen area clean
Ordering and rotating stock
Using the till
Using coffee making equipment etc
Work with other staff
Observe standard procedures and observe general health and safety and rules of conduct
Extra Care will provide Food Hygiene training if certificate is not already held by volunteers.
Minimum 4 hours per month

Pleasant, friendly personality
Patient with a mature attitude.
Trustworthy, honest, reliable.
Need to be able to work in a team and under own initiative
Experience of retail work or customer focussed activity would be advantageous but training is provided
Able to work under time pressures
