How many places are on offer?
If you have some experience of SEN (Special Educational Needs), maybe as a parent or in a job or volunteer role, this opportunity offers you the chance to provide information, advice and support to parents and carers of children or young people with special educational needs.
You could be completing forms, such as EHC plan applications
Preparing for and attending school meetings to help parents express their concerns
Listening to concerns about SEN and providing advice
Signposting to relevant literature or other organisations that can help.
Skills and Qualifications:
You don't need any special skills or qualifications, just an interest in SEN and in supporting parents and carers through the processes.
This grid shows when you can volunteer for this opportunity.
We will try to respond to volunteer inquiries within one week
This depends on how much knowledge and experience you already have
