Purpose of Role:
Volunteers are hugely important to our work on the high street where we raise the profile of Rainbows, sell products and generate essential money to support the work of the hospice. As a shop volunteer you are part of a team who are the friendly voice and welcoming face of Rainbows for shoppers and visitors to our shops.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Our shops wouldn't exist without the amazing support of our volunteers! You play a vital role in our high street presence, helping us raise awareness for Rainbows, sell our fantastic products, and generate crucial funds to support our hospice's incredible work.
As a Retail Shop Volunteer, you'll be part of a dynamic team that serves as the friendly, professional and welcoming face of Rainbows for every visitor who walks through our doors.
Our retail shops are open 7 days a week (timings vary per shop) and we offer flexible volunteer shifts to all with options including: 1-hour shift, half a day and more.
Typical tasks the role could involve:
- Create a warm, welcoming atmosphere
- Be a gift aid guru
- Showcase our treasures
- Get creative with displays
- Transform donated items into treasures
