Purpose of Role:
Join Sirona Homes as a Trustee and Make a Difference

As a new charity, there are exciting opportunities and challenges for the Sirona Board in the coming years. We're looking for passionate individuals to join our Board of Trustees and contribute to our mission of supporting domestic abuse survivors.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Sirona Homes is a new charity set up in 2023 to work alongside Juno Women’s Aid to provide social housing for women survivors of domestic abuse. There are not enough properties in the area to meet the demand for women and their children fleeing from domestic abuse. In response to this Juno recently received an investment of £3m to purchase properties across the city and in South Notts to help enable women to flee from domestic abuse.

We share Juno’s vision of a world where women, teenagers, and children live free from domestic and sexual abuse and violence. Proudly feminist, Sirona Homes is dedicated to making this vision a reality.

Your Role as a Trustee:
• Commitment: Uphold and work in accordance with Juno’s values and standards.
• Active Participation: Attend monthly Board of Trustees meetings and ad-hoc meetings as needed. Meetings are typically held online on Mondays at 5:00 pm.
• Preparation: Review the agenda and meeting papers sent a week in advance.
• Utilise Your Expertise: Use your skills, knowledge, and experience to guide the Board in making sound decisions. This may involve joining or chairing a committee, leading discussions, scrutinizing papers, or mentoring staff.
• Understand Responsibilities: Embrace the legal duties, responsibilities, and liabilities of trusteeship.
• Collaborative Work: Become part of a cohesive team of trustees, working together in trust and collaboration.

Why This Role Matters:
Becoming a trustee allows you to contribute to a cause you care about while developing your strategic and leadership skills. You'll play a vital role in shaping the future of Sirona Homes, working alongside fellow trustees and staff to achieve our goal of ending domestic abuse
