Purpose of Role:
This unusual and flexible volunteering opportunity is to be involved in supporting teaching and learning for health care students.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Our EPPIC (Experienced Patient and Public Involvement Community)
at the University of Nottingham involves supporting students in a
range of ways, including:

 Acting as a simulated patient
 Sharing lived life experiences as a carer
 Sharing lived life experiences with a medical condition (such as
cancer, diabetes, or dietary conditions)
 Supporting student recruitment by taking part in interviews
alongside university academics
 And more!

We are particularly interested in hearing from you if you have
experience of the social care system, and we strongly welcome
individuals from BAME, LGBTQ+, and neurodiverse backgrounds. We
are also interested in hearing from individuals aged under 40,
including parents or carers with caring responsibilities for under 18’s.

We support students across a range of professions, including Dietetics,
Medicine, Midwifery, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Physiotherapy.

Training will be provided.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
You don't need any experience or qualifications for this role, but it would be an advantage if you are:

* Under 40
* A parent or carer looking after under 18s
