Purpose of Role:
This is a great opportunity to gain and develop your experience in the competitive retail sector, make new friends and help Sue Ryder provide More Care to More People in need of palliative, neurological and bereavement support.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Can you influence without seeming to interfere? If you’re outgoing and confident approaching donors and customers, you could help promote the Retail Gift Aid scheme which can increase sales by 25%. In this role, you’ll greet donors dropping off donations, explain the benefits of the scheme and process details and sales on the computer system

This flexible role offers you the chance to build on your transferable skills - planning, communication and marketing - while gaining experience in the charity sector.

Commitment
Flexible but suggest two hours on a regular basis - you can do this from home but will need to establish an excellent working relationship with the shop team first.

We offer NVQ’s in Customer Service, Retail, Warehouse and Team Leading (England only).

The shop is open from 09:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Saturday
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
You need to be the type of person who:

is willing to have some brand training and follow guidelines
has common sense
has experience of using computers
can use your own initiative
can work as part of a team
is happy to get stuck in and support the shop where needed

Experience
Previous experience would be great and having a keen interest and understanding of social media is essential.
