ROLE DESCRIPTION:
We need more volunteers to join our anti-destitution team which is a new development for our Access project.

We will start off by rotating the support that we offer and eventually want to get to the point of being able to have everything available each week. This will require more volunteers and more donations of food items. We would also be able to give fresh fruit and vegetables each week if we had enough volunteers as there would be a need for a steady commitment to cope with the food donations that we can supply.

We need volunteers to prepare the room, support registration/sign in, serve tea and coffee and chat to clients.

On food store weeks we will run a foodbank. We need support to increase the donations we receive, organise our stock, keep records of our distribution and distribute food items.

On Clothes Bank weeks we need a team to support our arrangements with Sharewear, facilitate clothing distribution, monitor and track distribution, and tidying up.

On Cooking Together weeks we already have two volunteers, we could use one or two more, particularly with setup, and tidy up. Eating Together we need help to clear up and facilitate welcoming those joining the meal.

Support Drop In we need volunteers for tea, coffee, sign in, welcome, we can train up advisors as well but it depends on the next available training date.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
We are looking for friendly and welcoming people with good organisational skills and who are reliable.

We need a weekly commitment or as close to that as possible so we can plan ahead of sessions. Please make us aware of your availability when applying.
