Address where volunteering takes place: 16-22 Goosegate Hockley Nottingham NG1 1FFHow many places are on offer? 2
Purpose of Role:

ROLE DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with a passion for fashion! Be part of Oxfam's exciting second-hand ethical clothing and accessories online shop.
Want to be a part of a vibrant organisation that really makes a difference? You could help in the fight to overcome poverty and suffering by giving dapper threads the chance to be loved for longer. Recycling donated fashion items and raising much needed funds at the same time, whilst learning retail skills in the most up-to-date selling arena, the online shop.
There are many tasks involved and you could learn them all or you can decide to focus on one section of the process. Donations need to be sorted and valued according to Oxfam's guidelines, they are then listed on to our online listing tool, which is where we really sell the product. Items are steamed and photographed ready for sale. Once sold, we package and dispatch to the customer and the funds go direct to helping those who need it most.
Training takes place Monday or Tuesday - so volunteers need to be available then for initial training for a few weeks until they are confident in the role.
Training is provided but you must be willing to learn and be ready to work on your own initiative, with supervision, after training. We are happy to provide references for our volunteers and what could possibly look better on your CV?
