Purpose of Role:
Evolve community hub provides a range of services and support to people across the City. Any time you can give to help this vital and well used centre, will help enable Evolve to continue to reach, and expand the services and support it provides to the young people, residents, and community groups within the Strelley, Broxtowe, Aspley areas.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Volunteers will be painting and refurbishing the entrance and reception areas of this popular community hub, to give them a bright new welcoming look. We will also be giving the current Boxing gym a completely new fresh paint look to make the space a place for people of all ages, genders, backgrounds feel welcome and encourage them to take up physical activity. Finally, we will be building a brick BBQ so that communities can come together and build relationships in a social outdoor environment over freshly cooked food. No experience is needed, volunteers will work alongside professionals who will mentor and guide them on what to do to help make make this brilliant community facility a welcoming, positive and bright place to be, enabling it to reach and support even more people.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
No experience is necessary! You will be shown how to do everything you need to do. Opportunities are available for residents with Nottingham City postcodes.
