Purpose of Role:
This role is to support staff in obtaining feedback from patients, service users and carers more frequently regarding the experience that they have whilst attending Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
We are committed to involving people in our work and using their experiences and their views to improve our services and most importantly, improve people’s lives.

We have volunteers who support people in our services, thousands of people who share their feedback and their stories with us each year and a growing public membership – not to mention many people who draw upon their lived experience to take up paid roles within the Trust.

Volunteers play an important role at Nottinghamshire Healthcare, placed alongside staff, services users and carers in a variety of different areas. Our volunteers come from a diverse range of backgrounds and we really value the different skills, outlooks and experiences that they bring to the organisation.

Volunteers provide non clinical support to our patients, their relatives and visitors to our hospitals. Volunteers do not provide (or shadow) clinical work and volunteering is different to going on a work experience placement.

This role is to support staff in obtaining feedback from patients, service users and carers more frequently regarding the experience that they have whilst attending Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust in particular those who receive care from our WAD (Working Age Dementia) Service

The Working Age Dementia Service provides assessment, diagnosis and treatment for individuals below the age of 65 years with a suspected/confirmed diagnosis of dementia. The service has two components; a diagnostic service and post diagnostic treatment service. The post diagnostic treatment service offers a range of group based treatments to support individuals and carers to manage the symptoms of their condition. The service would like to support service users and carers to provide feedback regarding their experience.

Volunteer will need to attend the final sessions of the group treatment in order to introduce themselves and explain their role
