Our Sports and fitness clubs are back! Our members have begun to benefit from attending our special clubs with additional support. Going to the gym is tough enough but for someone with sight loss it can be even more daunting but with our specialised clubs, our members can have the support they need to give them that extra boost.
You can help support our many clubs and groups, including:
Gentle walking groups
Gym and Swim sessions
Blind cricket club
As a Sports and Healthy Lifestyle volunteer, you'll be helping with sighted guiding of people with sight loss, supporting with using gym equipment and helping to boost confidence.
A sporting background is desirable and training and support will be available.
Skills and Qualifications:
A background in sports is desirable, good communication skills and a friendly and approachable manner.
Interest in Healthy lifestyles and Sports.
Willingness to help
Ability to work as part of a team
