Purpose of Role:

A perfect opportunity has arisen for a volunteer / work placement administrative role with My Sight Nottinghamshire.

Role Description:

My Sight Notts is one of the oldest charity in the region, supporting local blind and partially sighted people with a wide variety of services. Our charity offers a wide range of volunteering opportunities, which support our services, from Arts and crafts, and social groups to IT, equipment and emotional support.

We are seeking an administrative volunteer to assist with the day to day office duties in our Heathcoat Street office in Nottingham City centre. The ideal candidate will need to have the following:

• Excellent administrative skills
• Highly organized
• Willing to learn new skills and learn the practices and policies of the My Sight Office
• A polite and friendly telephone manner

Part of the role will involve speaking to service users and other volunteers via telephone in order to support them in their role.
There will also be administrative duties involved and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is desirable. We will teach you some basic database skills in line with our CRM system.

Training and induction will be given. Travel Expenses are available and full support will be given. This role is suitable as a work placement.
