Purpose of Role:
Volunteers required for a busy Friendship group for seniors in the Clifton area. Duties include setting up, helping with refreshments and activities and interacting with the group members.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Who loves a good natter, has a ready smile, wants to have fun and help your local community at the same time? Good Companions are a Clifton based charity that offers companionship for older members of the community.
This is a busy social event with fun and laughter -.just what the doctor ordered to brighten our local seniors' day. We meet at Highbank Community Centre on Mondays and we need volunteers between 9.30-12.30.
We also have three other groups on other days of the week, so you are welcome to volunteer at this one, another one or more than one.
You will work with other volunteers and interact with the group members. Your role will include setting up and clearing away tables and chairs, collecting money, serving tea and coffee, helping with weekly activities (bingo, raffle and quiz) and chatting to the group members.
