How many places are on offer?
This social supermarket needs your help to maintain good levels of in date stock in order to provide affordable, healthy food to the local community.
The store manager role will mainly consist of tasks such as being a cashier, restocking shelves with produce, stock taking and identifying out of date food to be taken off sale etc. A training session can be provided to the new volunteers, so we are accepting all skill levels with no previous retail experience needed. This opportunity would offer volunteers the chance to help the fight against food waste and food poverty, get involved in the local community, and gain valuable retail experience.
These tasks will be carried out on site in the shop and you will be working alongside other volunteers, Foodprint team members, a full-time shop assistant and delivery drivers.
This role is important as you will be a valuable support in the overall running of our social supermarket, helping us to provide a service for local people to access affordable and healthy food. Our shop is unique in that we are a social enterprise that takes short-dated food from local wholesalers and businesses, and sell it at low and sustainable prices. Foodprint aims to tackle food waste and food poverty.
