Purpose of Role:
Are you green fingered and confident in the garden? Can you give a few hours a week or fortnight? We are looking for gardening volunteers to provide help to people who are not able to manage their gardens themselves. This would involve one off jobs as and when required. Being able to get outside and enjoy a garden has such a positive impact on health and wellbeing and can make a big difference to the people we support.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Our volunteer gardeners provide one off support to individuals to undertake light gardening tasks.
Requests include cutting the grass, light weeding, cutting low hedges and help with potting/planting.
All tools are provided by the client.
No heavy tasks such as removing large shrubs/trees
No tasks involving climbing ladders to ensure health and safety.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Confidence/familiarity in the garden.
Understanding of confidentiality.
