Purpose of Role:
Here's an opportunity to get involved in a well-established garden project with Jigsaw Youth Club in Lenton. This is an ideal opportunity for a student or two as it is very close to the campus.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Taking part in general garden maintenance, weeding, planting, pruning and other garden tasks.
Volunteer with a small team of other people
Making a difference by attracting people from all over the city to visit the embankment garden.
We meet every Wednesday.
You will get the enjoyment of being involved in a worthwhile project in the outdoors and the proven health benefits of being in a green space.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
You will need an interest in gardening and be passionate about the environment.
We welcome volunteers who are flexible, friendly understanding and tolerant.
Identifying weeds, composting, pruning, raising seeds, using tools and all the necessary skills can be learnt in the role.
We would love to have university students involved as the club is right on your doorstep behind the QMC. But we welcome non-student volunteers as well.
