Purpose of Role:
Volunteers are needed for to help out at our children's holiday club during the school Summer Holidays - each Monday to Friday, 15th August through to 2nd September.
At this stage, you will need to have an existing DBS certificate.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Belong works closely with the migrants, asylum seekers and refugees to foster community ties that become mechanisms for their support and integration in the UK. We recognise the complexities that young people from these communities' face, and understand that provisions like our summer holiday club helps them make a successful transition into the UK.
We will be providing free fun activities and free meals for children during the school Summer Holidays, whilst their parents go to work or take our ESOL classes. We would love volunteers who have the following qualities: enjoy working with children, preferably experienced in childcare on a personal or professional level but this is not essential; the ability to adapt to children’s needs; has understanding and empathy; is caring, fun and good at communicating; is enthusiastic and shows initiative.
Volunteers are needed to help out by working in small groups to lead and support sessions, serving meals and snacks and to generally assist team leaders.
The holiday club takes place each Monday to Friday, starting on 15th August, through to 2nd September and the volunteers are needed 9:30am to 2:30pm (if available earlier that would be great to help with setting-up). There is flexibility in volunteering to with us. You can do a half day, one day, or all days, whatever works for you. The club will be held at Belong Nottingham, Tennyson Hall, Forest Rd West, Nottingham NG7 4EP.
There will be a £5 per person per day food allowance for volunteers and travel expenses will be reimbursed.
