Purpose of Role:
Here is a great opportunity to use your organisational, administration and committee skills to support the development Literacy Volunteers, a long-established and respected organisation that helps to instil the love of books and reading into children.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Overall responsible for providing secretarial support to the Board including arranging meetings, taking minutes and monitoring and updating action log.
Work closely with the trustees to:
Produce and review annual reports to the Charity Commission and Funders where appropriate
Review and monitor the charity’s performance and set the strategic direction to be adopted in a post COVID-19 environment
Oversee the ethic and business practices
Attend the Trustees meetings to record minutes
Act with reasonable care and skill and as an ambassador for the charity
Meetings will normally be held at our office, but may also be online.

• An ability to work effectively as a member of a team
This role requires some life experience, so is not likely to be suitable for student volunteers.
