Help raise vital funds to support our much-needed services for older people. Our shops accept donations of recycled unwanted goods, including clothing, accessories, toys and bric-a-brac.
We can offer volunteering opportunities in a number of exciting roles that are perfect for anyone wanting to gain some experience in retail whilst also doing good in the community. We are very flexible in relation to what days or hours each individual would like to do and will always endeavour to match individuals to the roles most suited for them.
There are many ways you can support your local Age UK shop, whether it's behind the scenes or on the shop floor. The volunteer roles include:
· # Serving customers
· # Managing shop admin
· # Sorting stock
· # Creating window displays.
Skills and Qualifications:
Skills needed depend on the role you would like to take up. For shop floor customer service, volunteers should have the confidence to talk to members of the public, good communication skills and be friendly and approachable.
Retail experience is not essential as training will be provided.
