Purpose of Role:

You will transport some of our isolated members to and from the Centre. This is an extremely rewarding role as most of these members only leave their homes the days they attend the Centre so their appreciation is very touching.

Role Description:

We are open Mon to Thurs and some volunteers work once a week and others work two days a week.

You will transport some of our isolated members to and from the Centre. This is an extremely rewarding role as most of these members only leave their homes the days they attend the Centre so their appreciation is very touching.

We pay 45p per mile to support fuel expense and on average each driver does two or three journeys per day picking up to 9 members each and taking them home after lunch. There is a rota with names and addresses to follow and we try to provide a driver with pick ups in a similar area. We cover as far a field as Nuthall Village, Underwood, Awsworth, Kimberley and Langley Mill. Again, all drivers are offered a cooked meal

We have a great team here at at Age Concern Eastwood so anyone interested in joining us will be embraced. Training will be provided and there is paperwork to complete and code of conduct to sign etc. Interested parties should contact Josie Marsters 07445 941628 for further details and to arrange an interview.
