Purpose of Role:
This interesting volunteering opportunity offers you the chance to use your knowledge of the welfare system to advise people who are mainly from the Polish community or Eastern European migrants about their rights in this complex area. However, you do not need to be a Polish speaker because any interpretation/translation will be provided.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
This opportunity offers you the chance to use your knowledge and experience of the benefits system to support vulnerable people to understand their rights.
This role requires few hours of your time each week.
A basic DBS check is required for this role which will be paid for by SPS.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
You will need a good knowledge and understanding of benefits and welfare rights.
You must be able to get on well with people for a wide range of backgrounds, some of whom will speak little or no English.
