How many places are on offer?
Base 51 is passionate about supporting young people and enabling them to reach their potential. Services are delivered through NGYmyplace - the Centre for young people in Nottingham which is managed by Base 51 and provides a range of activities, services and facilities from a fitness suite and recording studio, to counselling and health services. Partners in NGY include YMCA, Youth Justice Service, NHS and Nottingham City Council.
There is a need for trustees who are passionate about young people and who are willing to give their time and experience to support Base 51 in enabling young people to reach their potential: and with time to oversee the organisation, develop strategy and ensure sound governance.
We are seeking to expand our board, with additional trustees, with a particular focus on adding skills in the following areas: finance, marketing/fundraising, HR, young people, mental health and legal. We welcome both experienced trustees and those looking to take on their first trusteeship, and we want to welcome people of all ages and backgrounds to further diversify the Board.
Trustee meetings take place four times a year, generally in the early evening for 1 – two hours. Trustees are encouraged to involve themselves in one or two sub groups such as Finance, Policy and Personnel and Marketing and Fundraising.
On average Trustees, give two hours a month to Base 51.
