This opportunity is to be part of a friendly group of people who maintain and improve the gardens of the Memorial gardens Trent Embankment.
Role Description:
Taking part in general garden maintenance, weeding, planting, pruning and other garden tasks.
Volunteer with a group of other people
Making a difference by attracting people from all over the city to visit the embankment garden.
We meet every Monday from 9.30 -11.30
You will get the enjoyment of being involved in a worthwhile project in the outdoors and the proven health benefits of being in a green space.
Skills and Qualifications:
You will need an interest in gardening.
Support for environmental protection is important.
We welcome volunteers who are flexible, friendly understanding and tolerant.
Identifying weeds, composting, pruning, raising seeds, using tools and all the necessary skills can be learnt in the role.
We are not able to offer support to vulnerable volunteers, but support workers or family members are welcome.
