If you would like the opportunity to broaden your experience of working with people experiencing mental health crisis, this is an opportunity for you.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for complementary therapy practitioners including those in training, who would benefit from a placement as part of their professional accreditation. We currently offer Reflexology, Reiki, Sound Healing and Meditation sessions to our guests on an ad hoc basis based on staff availability. We would like to offer set times for people to experience a range of holistic and complementary therapies throughout the week.

Practitioners will have a recognised qualification or in training and a member of a recognised practitioner organisation. Practitioners will be covered by Turning Points Public Liability Insurance and therefore need to satisfy the criteria for this cover. All Placements will be supervised.

Responsibilities
• To deliver complementary therapy as agreed by the service, in line with your accrediting body’s guidelines.
• To work sensitively with clients who may have experienced trauma and other complex mental and health issues.
• To promote choice and informed decision making
• To report any concerns to the team
• To maintain confidentiality
• To attend supervision on a regular basis

Qualities

• Ability to relate to a wide range of people.
• Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
• Responsible and professional approach to delivering therapies
• Reliable
• Able to demonstrate a patient, non-judgmental, respectful and compassionate attitude
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Registered or willingness to register with a Professional body related to the therapy being provided. The cost of this can be provided.
