Purpose of Role:
Recording and editing volunteers required for talking news productions
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Try your hand at voice over work and help your local sight loss community keep up to date with local news.
We're on the hunt for willing volunteers who have a good reading voice and excellent diction, to help read articles from the local paper for our fortnightly audio newsletter. As a talking news volunteer, you'll be able to confidently record your voice to help the local sight loss community. Use your acting skills for a fantastic opportunity.
We're also looking for confident editors, to make our recorded news sound brilliant, selecting the articles to be read and recorded. Knowledge of recording software is desirable. This is an excellent opportunity build skills and experience towards any media and sound engineering course.
We require volunteers who are able to make duplications of the recording onto CD or memory stick and prepare the envelopes to send to our service users.
Training and induction will be provided and you'll be part of a friendly team in an organisation which supports local blind and partially sighted people.
