Purpose of Role:

This important and responsible volunteer role is to be part of a small team of people ensuring that Wollaton Village Tennis Club is able to sustain its support for the current and future generations of sports people by attracting funding to support its work.

Role Description:

This role will develop as lockdown is eased and people are able to return to activities at the tennis club.
Wollaton Village tennis Club is run by a committed group of volunteers who give their time to deliver an innovative programme of sport and outdoor activities.
We are looking for a volunteer to help apply for funding to support and expand our activities.
This opportunity is for someone with funding knowledge or the enthusiasm to learn and develop skills, to work alongside some great people and bring some much needed funding to a wonderful sports organisation.

Skills and Qualifications:

We are not looking for an accountant or even a professional fundraiser. If you have some skills in tracking down information online, you will be able to find potential grants. Also, if you enjoy organising community events that can bring in some money, you will quickly become very popular with this organisation.
• IT literacy and a good command of English are important
• Being organised and methodical
• Able to get on well with other team members
• Be willing to explore new ways of getting things done and of bringing in the funds.
You will not be on your own, as this role is part of a team that also works with other volunteers and members of the club's management
An interest in tennis would be useful, but is not essential
