Purpose of Role:
As a project we run volunteer led teaching for people who have little or no IT skills. The pandemic has highlighted the importance of these skills and we want to do something about it.
Each group will be a small group (4-5) with a minimum of 2 volunteers supporting them. Learners work on things at their own level and access the support of volunteers when needed. We ask that you offer lots of encouragement to learners. Each lesson lasts approximately 2 hours - we ask that volunteers arrive early and leave late.
We would love to have people who feel able to support us regularly at a particular lesson, but we also need a small group of volunteers who are able to support on a more Ad Hoc basis.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Supporting a small group of learners to develop their basic IT skills. We offer a number of small group classes in line with covid regulations, your main task will be working with these individuals to support them in their learning of practical digital skills.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
We ask that you have the basics in IT/digital skills, we ask that you are confident in these basic skills and that you are a good communicator with lots of patience.
