This session takes place on Wednesday 23 July 2025, from 1pm to 2.30pm
Delivered as a webinar via Teams

This session is part of our Understanding Neurodivergence and Multiple Disadvantage learning series

This session will be delivered by Angela Cattermer and Charlotte Leask of local charity, Headway Nottingham.

This webinar hopes to help with the understanding of acquired brain injury (ABI) and the wide ranging and complex disabilities it can lead to. We will be talking about the different struggles people after ABI face in their everyday lives, and how you might be able to support them

Presenters:

  • Angela Cattermer is a Senior Support Worker at Headway Nottingham and has spent 15 years advocating for those affected by brain injury. Her particular skillset is helping those affected to understand cognitive disability and work on strategies to minimise the negative impact of those disabilities on their everyday life.

  • Charlotte Leask is CEO of Headway Nottingham, a small local charity offering information and support services to adults affected by brain injury in Nottinghamshire.  She has been working with this community for 14 years and is committed to helping those affected by brain injury to adjust to life with disability and understand their worth.

This session will be recorded and the materials later hosted through the NCVS website.
