The Thomas Wall Trust gives money to help adults who find life a bit harder, especially if they are not in work, education or training. They believe learning how to talk and listen well is really important for getting jobs and feeling more confident.
Charities in the UK can ask for up to £5,000 to run special projects that help adults (aged 18 or older) improve their communication skills. These projects should help people get ready for work and earn a proper qualification by the end or soon after.
To be successful, charities must:
- Be registered in the UK for at least 3 years
- Earn between £25,000 and £500,000 a year
- Run a project that helps adults learn to communicate well for jobs
The Trust likes projects that have other funding too and that can keep going without needing grant funding later on.
