The Supporting Partners programme aims to improve the provision of support available for service partners. This includes promoting their skills and experiences in the workplace, enhancing wellbeing, improving access to support services, and addressing the challenges that partners can sometimes face.
Grants of £10,000 to £70,000 are available for projects lasting 12 to 24 months, aimed at supporting the partners of serving personnel (including Reservists), with a clear focus on delivering meaningful impact.
- Projects should aim to achieve one or more of the following outcomes:
- Improved mental health and wellbeing of partners, taking modern family dynamics into account.
- Greater awareness among service providers and employers of the unique challenges partners face.
- Easier access to support, especially for non-UK national partners.
- Increased skills, confidence, and career opportunities for partners, including exploring new ways of working or career changes.
Projects must address current and emerging needs, promote inclusivity, and remove barriers to participation. They can be designed at either a regional or national level.
More details and examples of eligible projects can be found in the programme guidance.
Applications are welcomed from the following types of organisations:
- Registered charity
- Community Interest Company (CIC)
- Armed Forces unit or base
- UK university or college.
