Better Youth Spaces fund

The deadline for applications is Thursday 4 September 2025

Better Youth Spaces is a new £30.5 million capital funding programme, funded by the UK Government and delivered by Social Investment Business.

Grants of £5,000 to £100,000 are available for small-scale capital projects such as:

  • Capital equipment
  • Small refurbishments
  • Other building or infrastructure improvements that help youth organisations better support the young people they work with

To be eligible, your project must meet at least one of the following aims:

  • Increase the reach of youth activities
  • Improve the safety of existing youth spaces
  • Strengthen the quality and capacity of the youth sector to deliver enrichment activities
  • Focus on areas identified as having high youth need
  • Enhance the financial sustainability of youth facilities

Who can apply?
You can apply if you are:

  • A not-for-profit youth organisation working with children and young people aged 11–18, or up to age 25 if they have SEND, are care leavers, or are considered vulnerable or at risk
  • A Local Authority delivering youth services
  • Based in one of 42 priority areas in England - including Nottingham
