Delivered by Citizens Advice Mid Mercia and funded by GambleAware as part of the East Midlands Gambling Support Service, this free webinar aims to equip and upskill organisations and their frontline workers with the practical intervention tools necessary to support any person accessing their service who may exhibit harmful gambling behaviours.
This short webinar will provide an introduction into gambling harms, including:
- 21st century gambling and the current landscape
- How to spot the signs of gambling harms within clients that access your service (s), alongside a brief discussion of identification tools.
- Practical intervention strategies that you could use to help support a harmful gambler in the short-term.
- Specialist organisations in the local area who can support a client for a long-term, sustainable recovery.
Audience: this webinar is aimed at professionals and volunteers from all sectors who support vulnerable clients on a daily basis within their role. The session is most appropriate for frontline workers.
