Part of a new Practice Development Unit (PDU) online learning series focused on sharing latest research and learning in the field of severe and multiple disadvantage (SMD). This session will be delivered by Lorna Templeton, independent research consultant.
The webinar will draw on two large qualitative studies to consider the unique features of bereavement following an alcohol, other drug or gambling-related death, and the additional challenges that can be experienced when such deaths are referred to the coroner. The webinar will also suggest how support to this group of bereaved people can be improved, using good practice guidelines, and an adapted version of the 5-Step Method intervention as examples.
