Purpose of Role:
We need volunteers who can help to maintain the shared garden at Hyson Green Library in The Mary Potter Centre.
This recently renovated community space offers a rewarding and social opportunity to help maintain the garden shared between the library and the Acorn Resource Centre. We want to make it an area for adults and children from the local community to enjoy outdoor time, sit, read, relax, and take part in organised events.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:
What you will be doing
Planning general garden maintenance: dead heading, weeding, sweeping etc
Helping the team complete tasks
Following the lead volunteers plans for planting e.g. flowers and vegetables
Helping with the care and maintenance of vegetable, fruit, and flowerbeds
Cleaning of garden furniture, keeping shed and greenhouse tidy
Assisting with occasional adult / children’s activities in the garden
