Purpose of Role:
Lakeside Arts - the University of Nottingham's successful public arts and culture programme - is forming a first Advisory Group to help take forward the next exciting phase of Lakeside's development. We are looking to recruit a group of volunteers to join the group who are enthusiastic to support Lakeside.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking individuals who are willing to join us for terms of up to 3 years and who have specific expertise in a range of skills:

Education (School & Home Education);
PR & Communications;
Programming for audience development;
Equality, Diversity & Inclusion;
Philanthropy and fundraising,
Sustainability & biodiversity (programming & operations).

We will also be recruiting from our broader audience base, including creatives, families and the University staff and student community.

We would like our group membership to be reflective of our goal to be more relevant to diverse communities and so encourage applications from the widest possible range of people. We are particularly keen to encourage interest from people with disabilities and/or those who are from Black, Asian and Ethnically Diverse communities - who are currently under-represented in the organisation.

What will you be doing?
Together with Lakeside's leadership team, the Group will advocate and network internally and externally on Lakeside's behalf, offer advice which supports the successful delivery of our business plan and provide due diligence in terms of governance and funding agreements. Whilst roles are voluntary and unpaid, expenses will be reimbursed in line with our volunteering policy.

The group will meet four times annually, with the potential for further participation in time-limited working groups and/or supporting Lakeside teams or individual team members. We anticipate that members would also wish to attend Lakeside events or openings on occasion.
