Purpose of Role:
The Social Media Support Volunteer will work with the communications officer to enhance Healthwatch Nottingham and Nottinghamshire’s social media presence to engage with the public, share information and gather insights into current issues within health and social care.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:

The digital media support volunteer will work with the PR and Communications Lead to assist with content for digital platforms.

This role is an exciting opportunity for volunteers with digital skills to support local people in having a voice in the improvement of local NHS and care services.This role involves supporting the delivery of social media content and ensuring that content remains up to date and relatable to the local community through various online platforms.
· Helping to create and work to a social media plan
· Develop content for our website and social media, such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram
· Using social media to promote our achievements and things we are doing across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire
· Encouraging others to engage and share our posts
· Writing articles for our news section of our website, to share important information.
· Researching potential new audiences for digital content using platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Nextdoor, etc.

Commitment:
This is a flexible bite sized role which can fit around your other commitments. The role is expected to be carried out as and when required, through mutual agreement between the communication officer and yourself, to ensure that content remains current and is disseminated in a timely manner. You will be required to complete training for this role.
