Copyright and volunteer-created materials

Volunteers often bring creativity and innovation to organisations, but their contributions can also raise important questions about copyright. With practical steps and relevant information, read Dave's latest blog and make sure you're hot on the latest best practices and guidelines for managing copyright in volunteer contributions. Stay informed and ensure your organisation is well-equipped to handle these important issues effectively.

GreenSpace (green social prescribing)
GreenSpace green social prescribing banner image
GreenSpace, the green social prescribing programme for Nottingham and Nottinghamshire

Green social prescribing is a way of connecting people to nature-based activities and green groups, projects and schemes in their local community for support with health and wellbeing. Often this will be through a referral from a Link Worker based at a GP practice or another primary care professional.

Our scheme in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, called GreenSpace, was one of seven government Green Social Prescribing Test and Learn sites.

While the National Test and Learn may have ended, NCVS continues to embed green social prescribing into health systems to make nature-based/outdoor activities an intervention of choice to support people to improve and maintain their mental and physical health and wellbeing.

Call for evidence: The lost boys

Boys and young men are having a tough time in Britain. The Centre for Social Justice (CSJ) is taking a deeper look at what is holding them back.

Initially, the Lost Boys project will concentrate on these six areas: education, crime, health (including mental health), employment, fatherlessness, and the online world, including pornography.
They want to know what you think about the challenges facing young men and boys.

They would especially like to hear from those who work in sectors that support young men and boys, work in youth charities, or are young men or boys themselves to ensure our research is as robust and relevant as possible.
